Ingredients

Main

  • 1/4 teaspoons (1.3 ml) ground black pepper 
  • 1/2 teaspoons (2.5 ml) salt 
  • 2 cups (480 ml) milk 
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) yellow mustard 
  • large eggs 
  • 1 lb (0.5 kg) bulk sausage, browned and drained 
  • 4 slices whole-grain or white bread 
  • 1 cup (240 ml) sharp cheddar, grated 

Cookware

  •  8 x 10 baking dish 
  •  Nonstick cooking spray 

Instructions

Step 1

Set the EGG for indirect cooking with the convEGGtor at 350°F/176°C.

Step 2

Coat 8 inch (20 cm) x 10 inch (25 cm) or similar-sized baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

Step 3

Tear bread into small pieces and scatter over bottom of dish. Top with sausage.

Step 4

In medium bowl, whisk eggs until combined; whisk in milk, mustard, salt and pepper. Pour over bread and sausage. Sprinkle cheese over top.

Step 5

Bake uncovered for 35 to 45 minutes or until set all the way to center (when a knife inserted in center comes out clean).
