Big Green Egg Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers

Ingredients

  • 12 jalapeño peppers, halved and deveined 
  • 8 oz. (229 g) cream cheese 
  • 12 strips of bacon, halved 
  • 1 cup (240 ml) of cheddar cheese 
  • 1/2 teaspoons (2.5 ml) onion powder 
  • 1/2 teaspoons (2.5 ml) salt 
  • 1/2 teaspoons (2.5 ml) pepper 
  • 1/2 teaspoons (2.5 ml) garlic powder 
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Big Green Egg Sweet and Smoky seasoning + a little extra 

Instructions

Step 1

Set the EGG for indirect cooking with the convEGGtor at 400°F/204°C.

Step 2

Mix together the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Step 3

Fill each halved jalapeño pepper with cream cheese mixture and sprinkle a touch of the Big Green Egg Sweet and Smoky seasoning on top.

Step 4

Wrap each jalapeño with a strip of bacon and top with the Big Green Egg Sweet and Smoky seasoning.

Step 5

Bake for 25 minutes until bacon is crispy and browned.

Step 6

Serve immediately.
